Hana Čadová

Hana Čadová after completing her Master’s degree at the Faculty of Arts, Charles University (2006-2011, Department of Auxiliary Historical Sciences and Archival Studies) with distinction, Hana Čadová began working in the archival field, which has accompanied her throughout her professional career.

Even during her studies, she worked as an archivist at the Faculty of Arts, Charles University. Since August 2008, she has been employed as an archivist at the Jewish Community of Prague, where she is engaged in pre-archival care (acquisition, storage, and preparation of document selection) and in handling research inquiries. In 2013-2014, she prepared materials for the Jewish Community of Prague in accordance with Act No. 428/2012 Coll. on Property Settlement with Churches. Since June 2023, she has headed the entire department, and in addition to professional archival activities, she is responsible for its administrative operation, including budgeting and personnel matters.

Since August 2022, she has also been working at the Terezín Initiative Institute, where she coordinates digitisation work in archives. She is also responsible for grant projects for research (e.g. the Czech-German Future Fund, the Endowment Fund for Holocaust Victims, LINDAT/CLARIAH-CZ) and ensures the administrative operation of the TII office.

She has long been dedicated to working with historical documents and has experience in archival practice, digitisation, administrative agendas, and project management in the non-profit and cultural heritage sectors.
