Lecture | Magdalena Sedlická and Aneta Plzáková: Holocaust in Space and Data – MemoMap and the EHRI-CZ Portal

The lecture will focus on the European Holocaust Research Infrastructure (EHRI), emphasizing services designed for researchers and the wider public. The speakers will introduce the MemoMap application, which enables users to discover the stories of Jewish inhabitants during the Protectorate era directly in the streets of Prague, Pacov, and Říčany. Attendees will also learn about the emerging EHRI-CZ Portal – a comprehensive gateway connecting data on Holocaust victims, transports, persecution sites, and archival records from Czech and international institutions.
Mgr. Magdalena Sedlická, Ph.D. is the national coordinator of EHRI-CZ and a historian specializing in modern Jewish history. Among other works, she published a book on Jews in postwar Czechoslovakia.
Mgr. Aneta Plzáková is the data curator of EHRI-CZ, focusing on the management and integration of historical data with an emphasis on Holocaust victims’ data and geospatial information.
Both speakers are affiliated with the Masaryk Institute and Archives of the Czech Academy of Sciences.
