EHRI webinar: EHRI-CZ Portal: Integrating Holocaust-Related Data Across Institutions
In the upcoming online EHRI webinar on Wednesday 17 June 2026 at 3 p.m. will Aneta Plzáková (Masaryk Institute and Archives of the CAS) and Maria Dermentzi (Toolbox 21, collaborator of the Czech EHRI node) present the current state of development of the EHRI-CZ Portal, focusing on both the conceptual and practical aspects of the project.
The Portal connects Holocaust-related data from various institutions and provides access to archival descriptions, victim databases, digital collections, geo-spatial information, and contextual resources, while also addressing challenges such as multilingualism, differing metadata standards, and varying levels of how detailed data are.
The interactive EHRI webinar is intended not only for specialists in digital humanities, but also for researchers, archivists, museum professionals, students, and the wider expert public interested in new ways of exploring sources related to the Holocaust and historical data.
